The International Standards Organization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental organization that provides a framework for worldwide proprietary specifications to ensure quality, safety and efficiency. ISO began operations in 1947 as twenty-five countries saw a need for unification of industrial standards. This number has grown to 161 countries including the United States of America. The ISO International Standards provide strategic tools to minimize waste and errors, increase productivity, and provide an overall cost-savings for operations.
A third party can provide certification or conformity assessment, but NovelE works hand-in-hand with your organization to develop and maintain your management system. Primary standards including ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) and their family of associated standards provide a framework that an organization follows. NovelE staff work within your organization, meeting with your internal Leadership and the applicable Departments to develop documentation specific to your operations. For entities certified under the 2008 standard, NovelE assists with the transition to the 2015 standard as required by September 2018. NovelE can provide all levels of effort including preparation of the timeline and milestones for transition, producing the gap analysis, and then addressing and implementing the changes. We like to think of ourselves as an extension of your staff as we work within your management system. The context of your organization drives your overall approach to the management system. It is important that the management system be tailored to each entity for it to truly be useful and reach its maximum potential. If you are just starting your certification process, NovelE would love to put your organization on the right path. Each management system is an ever-evolving process always striving to exceed expectations as we will for you.
