Liza Grudin, PE, ME | President | Principal Engineer
Professional Experience
Ms. Grudin is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 25 years of environmental engineering and consulting experience. Her varied background includes compliance, pollution prevention, permitting, assessment and remediation design of bulk fuel facilities, retail stations, industrial, commercial, and federal properties. Ms. Grudin is adept at management of large portfolios with multiple, upper level and political stakeholders. She has provided supervisory and engineering support for large permits, remediation design, system construction, and operation and monitoring of federal and state funded, privately funded and consent order sites for multiple Fortune 500 clients. Ms. Grudin takes a leadership role in engaging client and regulatory interactions, building a problem-solving team effort leading to a streamlined and effective site cleanup.

Randy Whitesell, PE, ME | Senior Engineer
Professional Experience
Randy Whitesell is a former AECOM engineer with over 30 years of environmental and civil engineering experience . Mr. Whitesell has experience in hydrographic surveys, underwater assessment, underwater construction and oversight. He is responsible for the design, implementation, construction, operation and maintenance of over 100 remediation systems utilizing bioremediation, chemical remediation, pump and treat, air sparging, soil vapor extraction, and dual phase extraction technologies. He provides engineering design, implementation, construction, and operation and maintenance of remediation systems in a broad array of lithologies. Randy provides senior oversight and project management for site assessments and remediation projects from initial field investigation through site closure. Other responsibilities include providing technical support, principal review and guidance to NovelE's vast array of technical and professional staff.
Randy's experience includes serving as a Program Delivery Manager (PDMG) for FEMA in their Public Assistance (PA) grant delivery process. During his work on the disaster recovery from Hurricane Irma, Mr. Whitesell worked with a 12 different Applicants on over 150 projects. He provided personal service to the applicants to aid them in the preparation and submittal of their hurricane related damages for reimbursement. He worked closely with Schools, Hospitals, Cities, Local and County Governments, as well as smaller non-profit organizations.

He has provided supervisory and geological support for soil, sediment, groundwater and surface water sampling conducted as part of large-scale assessments, as well as construction and subcontractor oversight, for federal and state funded, privately funded and consent order sites for multiple Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Aumann takes a leadership role in engaging client and regulatory interactions onsite, facilitating a problem-solving team effort leading to a safe, collaborative and effective site cleanup effort.

He has been involved in a variety of projects in the environmental industry and has a keen understanding of remediation system operations and maintenance (O&M). Mr. Pitts’ experience includes soil and groundwater assessment, remediation system installation and startup, remediation system O&M, construction oversight, emergency response (ER), source removals, waste handling and disposal, maintenance of traffic (MOT), oversight of underground and above ground storage tank removals, client communication and personnel management. Mr. Pitts has managed, operated, and maintained over 500 remediation systems.

He has performed background research on project sites incorporating ecological information, as well as collection and categorization of artifacts and monitoring of construction projects within culturally sensitive areas.

Ms. Tate has over 3 years of professional geology experience in a range of backgrounds from environmental to water resources to geotechnical. Her environmental experience includes well installation and environmental sampling for federal and State clients. She takes a hands-on approach in engaging client and regulatory interactions onsite, facilitating a problem-solving team effort with a passion for promoting health and safety in the working environment. Kelsey feels most comfortable standing behind a drill rig and it shows!
Her geotechnical experience includes slope stability analysis, settlement calculations, and the design of foundations that can support the loads imposed by structures.

Her passion for our marketing design, layouts, and presence on the internet is bold and extremely dedicated. Camille is responsible for the Constant Contact newsletters, business cards, and all marketing materials distributed by NovelE. Ms. Grudin is the lead designer for our unique logo representing three lizards in a symbolic "reduce, reuse, recycle" layout.
